A MAN was found dead with four gunshot wounds in the head near Sungai Jarom police station in Kuala Langat, late last night.

Kuala Langat district police chief Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor@Saleh said a police volunteer had reported hearing shots about 11.30pm.

“The complainant, who was on duty as a sentry near the Sungai Jarom police station, heard several loud explosions nearby and rushed to (towards the sounds)

“The complainant found a local man bleeding on the road shoulder,” he said in a statement today.

Ridhwan said the Telok Panglima Garang clinic health workers confirmed the victim died at the scene from bleeding in the head. The forensic unit found five bullet casings near the scene.

He said the 39-year-old victim had a long criminal record.

The case is filed under section 302 of the penal code for murder.
