THE Negri Sembilan assembly will be dissolved at the end of June to pave the way for state elections, said Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun.

He said Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir had been informed of the matter.

Aminuddin said he and the Selangor, Penang, Kelantan, Kedah and Terengganu state leaders had agreed during a meeting to dissolve their assemblies around the same time.

“Some may dissolve (their assemblies) at the end of this month or early June and others at the end of June or early July. God willing, maybe July 1 is the last day (for the dissolution of assemblies),” he told reporters after officiating a road renaming ceremony in Sikamat, Seremban, today.
