THE federal government will try to resolve water supply problems in Kelantan and Sabah even though it will cost a lot, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said.

“The water issues of Kelantan and Sabah need to be addressed because they are a fundamental problem and not a political matter,” he said at the Prime Minister’s Department monthly assembly in Putraya, today.

Anwar said he had informed the leaders of the two states as well as the Kelantan sultan of the need for  the federal government to intervene in the matter.

Anwar said he would also talk to the Economy and Finance Ministries to address the water supply issues in Kelantan and Sabah.

Meanwhile, he said RM1 billion has been set aside this year to address the problems of potholes in the cities. – Bernama, May 15, 2023.
