FORMER Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has no intention of representing another party in the state elections expected next month.

However, if his Umno suspension is lifted, the former Supreme Council member wants to help in the polls.

“I will of course campaign, if I am no longer suspended, and help work for the party. I don’t want to be with other parties,” he said in Pasir Salak today.

Previously, the media reported that Tajuddin submitted an appeal against his six-year suspension from the party.

The Umno Supreme Council suspended Tajuddin for six years in October 2022.

Yesterday, party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the appeal would be referred to the Supreme Council.

“I am confident that, if it is brought to the Supreme Council, the decision will be positive because I have explained in a letter twice before this and once again yesterday.

“The only mistake I made was being too vocal on party issues,” he said.

Meanwhile, Tajuddin said he was prepared to face any possibility, would not give up politics and would try to be active on social media platforms. – Bernama, May 7, 2023.
