THE Finance Ministry’s (MOF) concerns over an attempt by a senior official in Human Resource Development Corp (HRD Corp) to proceed with a project without board approval have been resolved, said HRD Corp in a statement.

“The matters addressed in the (MOF) letter have been answered and resolved at HRD Corp’s board meetings.

“In addition, we trust that the contents of the letter are protected under the Official Secrets Act 1972 and were not meant for public consumption and media publication.

“At HRD Corp, we have always been committed to preserving the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and integrity,” it said today.

HRD Corp was responding to a news portal’s report on MOF’s investigation of the senior official’s conduct pertaining to the contract and procurement process of the Skills Passport initiative.

The news portal had based its report on an MOF letter on HRD Corp’s board meeting minutes dated October 6, 2022.

“We take serious offence to the incorrect allegations in the article. We will not allow such baseless allegations to go unchallenged and we will be taking all necessary action to defend our reputation and protect our interests,” said HRD Corp. – May 7, 2023.
