A WOMAN has been remanded for four days on suspicion of sedition after a video critical of the Sultan of Perak was uploaded to her TikTok account @ijaheartfarizahwhitenew on Monday, police said.

Police secretary Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin said the remand application against the 34-year-old woman, who was arrested in Klang yesterday, was made under section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

“The case is being investigated by Bukit Aman CID’s classified crimes investigation unit (D5),” she said in a statement today. – Bernama, May 6, 2023.
