PENANG Pakatan Harapan (PH) held talks today to finalise seat allocations for its component parties for the state elections.
Its chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the meeting was to prepare the bloc for its meeting with Barisan Nasional (BN) next week.
On Penang MCA chairman Tan Teik Cheng’s statement about how PH-BN seat distributions in the state should involve all BN component parties, Chow said BN should handle the matter.
“Today’s meeting is only for PH. After that, (the decision) will be (brought to) BN and Umno,” he told reporters after attending the Batu Kawan and Bukit Tambun open house today.
Media outlets said Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Kelantan and Terengganu have agreed to dissolve their assemblies in the last two weeks of June. – Bernama, April 29, 2023.
