THE unity government’s women convention to be held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre this May 14 will focus on the economic agenda, nation-building and the role of women in the context of Malaysia Madani.

The Unity Government Women’s Leadership Consultative Council, in a statement today, said the content for the conference was finalised at the council’s first meeting at Menara Dato’ Onn in Kuala Lumpur today.

“The Unity Government Women’s Leadership Consultative Council hopes that through this convention, with the theme ‘Malaysia Madani: Mewajahi Masa Depan Malaysia’, it will strengthen the unity government’s agenda under the Malaysia Madani concept,” it said.

The meeting held today was aimed at strengthening collaboration and building networking among women in the unity government.

It was jointly chaired by Barisan Nasional (BN) Women’s chairman Dr Noraini Ahmad and Pakatan Harapan (PH) Women’s chairman Aiman ​​Athirah Sabu.
