TRAFFIC was reported to be smooth on all major highways nationwide tonight despite localised rain and more vehicles joining the balik kampung exodus for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

According to a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman, as of 10pm, traffic on the North-South (PLUS) Expressway was smooth in both directions.

“However, traffic was slow but smooth along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway due to rain and the volume of vehicles, especially at Genting Sempah,” the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, a crash was reported along the North South Expressway (PLUS) between Nilai and Bandar Ainsdale, but no lanes were obstructed.
