TRAFFIC was reported to be smooth and under control on several major highways as of 8pm, despite an increase in the number of vehicles ahead of Hari Raya.

A PLUS Malaysia Bhd spokesman said traffic flow on the North-South Expressway heading to Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor from the federal capital was smooth.

“However, traffic is slow from Tapah towards Gopeng due to the increase in vehicles,” he said.

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesperson said traffic was slow moving at the Gombak toll plaza heading to the east coast.

Traffic flow to the north was slow from Tapah to Gua Tempurung and from Bidor to the Tapah Rest & Recreation area in Perak.

Meanwhile, traffic flow on the East Coast Expressway (LPT) 1 and LPT 2 was smooth in both directions.
