THE Negri Sembilan chapter of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry seized 98,840 litres of subsidised diesel, worth more than RM200,000, from a property in Port Dickson yesterday evening.
Its director, Muhammad Zahir Mazlan, said his team raided the property in the Sri Lukut Industrial Park and found it stored diesel exceeding the permitted limit of 60,000 litres.
“The inspection conducted at the subsidised diesel wholesaler level was the ministry’s proactive action to identify and address the issue of leakages of subsidised diesel during Ops Tiris,” he said in a statement in Seremban today.
He said the case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961. – Bernama, April 14, 2023.
