PROJECTS worth RM7.2 billion awarded to Jana Wibawa contractors under the Rural and Regional Development Ministry have been cancelled, said its minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The deputy prime minister said the decision to cancel the tenders was made by the Finance Ministry. He said the projects will be re-tendered.

“We know there is some disruption in terms of implementation. Rest assured that if ethics and regulations are followed, it will be done immediately. God willing, the projects will be completed within the specified periods,” he told reporters after launching the Santunan Kasih Ramadan Negeri Kelantan 2023 programme in Machang today. – Bernama, April 9, 2023.
