FORMER Perlis menteri besar Azlan Man is expected to be charged at the Kangar Sessions Court tomorrow with graft by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) according to a Berita Harian report.
He is expected to be charged under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009 which deals with false claims.
The Malay-language daily quoting a source reported that Azlan is expected to be charged for submitting a false claim or approving documents with false claims.
The source told the daily the case has been registered at the Sessions Court in Kangar.
The daily also based its report on an invitation from the anti-graft agency to provide coverage on the charging of a former menteri besar at 8.30am on Monday.
Azlan was the Pauh assemblyman from 2013 to 2018 before moving to the Bintong state seat and representing it from 2018 until he was defeated in the last state assembly election in 2022. β April 9, 2023.
