THREE Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs have been selected to represent the coalition in talks with Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof on funding for opposition MPs, PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said.

He said Hamzah Zainuddin, Kota Bharu MP Takiyuddin Hassan and Putrajaya MP Radzi Jidin would meet Fadillah in due course.

“We have three representatives from the opposition to hold negotiations, which are expected to be held in the near future,” he told a press conference in Kota Baru last night.

The Kubang Kerian MP also welcomed Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s statement that he was in principle agreed that all MPs should receive equal funding, regardless of political allegiance.

“We hope it can be expedited and I expect there will only be one round of negotiations,” he said.

Meanwhile, Tuan Ibrahim said PN’s seat talks for state elections are going smoothly, adding that he has no knowledge of rumours that former Ketereh MP Annuar Musa will join PAS.

“I don’t have information about it, maybe he discussed it directly with Takiyuddin.

“We heard rumours that he wants to join PAS, and if it’s true, we welcome him, not only him but anyone from Umno suspended or sacked from the party,” he said. – April 6, 2023.
