THE Immigration Department has shut down its website for maintenance after it was believed to have been hacked early today.

“Be informed the Malaysian Immigration Department’s website is under maintenance.

“For any questions, please contact the Online Inquiry System. Any inconvenience is deeply regretted,” the department said in a Facebook post today.

A check on the immigration through the department’s page title on Google search results showed “Hacked by CaptainSmok3r”.

Other than the post on Facebook, the Immigration has not released any statement on the matter.

However, Bukit Aman has said it was contacting the department for more details. – April 4, 2023.
