TOP Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders were absent and missed a chance to grill the Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on a slew of issues, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said.
Fahmi singled out PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin and Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin.
“This morning Anwar Ibrahim is taking questions about his recent official visit to China, vape issues and contract doctors.
“Both deputy prime ministers Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Fadillah Yusof are also attending.
“Unfortunately, Hamzah, Muhyiddin and Abdul Hadi Awang again did not attend and raise questions,” he said on Facebook and Twitter.
The Lembah Pantai lawmaker said the Prime Minister’s Question Time is held every Tuesday and provided an opportunity for the opposition to pose questions to Anwar.
“This is the best opportunity for the opposition to raise questions and confront the prime minister,” he said.
This is not the first time PN’s top brass were absent during the dedicated question time.
Previously, Fahmi also took to Twitter to reprimand the three opposition leaders who were absent during a similar session. – April 4, 2023.
