THE new Malacca chief minister will be sworn in tomorrow, state secretary Zaidi Johari said.

Zaidi said the governor Mohd Ali Rustam has received Sulaiman Md Ali’s letter of resignation.

“The ceremony to present the letter of appointment and the taking of the oath of office is scheduled for 3pm on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Dewan Seri Utama,” he said in a statement.

Malacca Umno liaison committee chairman Ab Rauf Yusoh, who is Tanjung Bidara assemblyman, is expected to replace Sulaiman. – Bernama, March 30, 2023.
