THE government encourages more manufacturing companies to join the Jualan Rahmah initiative to help reduce the cost of living for the people.

Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Fuziah Salleh said the government has received many enquiries about participating in the initiative.

“We have queries from industry players, but when it comes to the food industry, they have their own price structure.

“This structure will have an effect on supermarkets and manufacturers need to solve this problem,” she told reporters in Alor Gajah, today.

Meanwhile, Fuziah said there is no need to re-establish the special task force on jihad against inflation since the government already has its own implementation team. – Bernama, March 20, 2023.
