FORMER prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin will face a new corruption charge on Monday, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Azam Baki confirmed today.
He was reported in The Vibes as saying that the additional charge would be under section 4(1)(b) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
Earlier today, Bersatu deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu told reporters that Muhyiddin, who is the party president, would likely face another corruption charge in Shah Alam on Monday.
This morning, Muhyiddin was charged with six counts of corruption charges, four for abuse of power and two under money-laundering laws.
He claimed trial and is out on a RM2 million bail. – March 10, 2023.
