POLICE arrested have 15 men over a fight that broke out near Taman Kelau Jaya, Raub, on Tuesday.

Raub police chief Mohd Shahril Abd Rahman said the suspects, aged 15 to 50, were detained between 3.15pm and 4.15pm in Sungai Ruan, Raub, the following day.

He said the 10.30pm incident started when someone reprimanded a group of men scolding some boys at the scene, leading to an argument and then a fight.

“A few of the men received facial and bodily injuries, while we are looking for the remaining suspects,” he said today.

The suspects are on remand until tomorrow to assist in the investigation under section 147 of the penal code for rioting.

Police are appealing for witnesses. – Bernama, March 10, 2023.
