Why is Dr Mahathir blaming us over Anwar sacking, asks ex-top cop

Former inspector-general of police Abdul Rahim Noor says he has paid his due over Anwar Ibrahim’s black eye incident in 2001. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 15, 2018.

FORMER inspector-general of police Abdul Rahim Noor is perplexed by Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s claims that police were the ones who prompted him to sack former deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim, Utusan reports today.

Rahim said he doesn’t know the former prime minister’s motive in making such claims, as police have no legal power to dismiss any minister.

  • It may also have been influenced by Anwar's insistence on restructuring(?) & the adoption of the International Monetary Fund's bail-out package for Malaysia over Dr.M's preference for imposing capital control's to prevent further outflows of money from the country which would then greatly weaken the economy..

  • The rules of any organization are as follows:
    1. The boss is never wrong,
    2. When the boss is wrong refer to rule one.
Rahim Noor should know the rules and must have practiced that too. Now he is out, he can question. Mahahtir will not admit making mistakes. He said all these to feel less awkward when facing Anwar whom he thought he needed not have to have any dealings. Mahathir also said in 1964 as MP candidate for Kota Star that he did not need Chinese vote. He lost.

  • Because Mahatir knows the weaknesses of our Police Force. Many people do not trust the police force - and when Mahatir shouted out the Police is at fault - many believes him.
