ANGRY MCA members are calling for a protest over a decision to field Wong Nai Chee as the candidate for Alor Gajah parliamentary seat.

Wong is Prime Minister Najib Razak’s political secretary and local leaders don’t want the former Kota Melaka MP to replace Koh Nai Kwong

They are calling for 10,000 MCA members to protest the decision tomorrow at the Machap Baru Chinese primary school.

Social media is buzzing with the news of the protest.

Koh is being moved to the Machap state seat but his division is not happy about it and has cancelled several functions planned over the weekend.

Wong became known as a giant killer when he beat then DAP secretary-general Kerk Kim Hock for the Kota Melaka seat in the 2004 general election.

However, DAP won back the seat in the next general election.

Wong made a comeback in 2011 as Najib’s political secretary.

The Alor Gajah seat is seen as one of MCA’s safest seats. – March 14, 2018.
