ALL autogates at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport will be opened to foreign passport holders from low-risk countries like Singapore, Brunei, New Zealand and G7 nations, to ease entry congestion at immigration counters, Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said today.

He told the Dewan Rakyat the move was a “quick solution” to the persisting problem at the airport.

Saifuddin added that he will issue the order this evening.

He was responding to a question from Mumtaz Md Nawi (Tumpat-PN), who asked for the measures the government is drawing up to ease the congestion and cut the waiting time.

He also said the Home Ministry was also mulling other measures to tackle the problem. – February 27, 2023.
