A TOTAL of 403,637 candidates will be sitting the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022 written tests from tomorrow to March 15, across 3,355 examination centres nationwide.

The Education Ministry, in a statement today, said about 131,318 invigilators have been appointed to ensure the smooth running of the SPM.

“All candidates are reminded to refer to the examination timetable to obtain information on the date, time, code and examination papers as well as instructions that must be adhered to during the examination.

  • Our new Education Minister just said that Malaysian Education was of the same standard as that of Singapore and Japan,

Give these 400,000+ SPM candidates Singapore's Form 5 examination papers to answer. The exams should be jointly invigilated by M'sian and S'porean teachers so that no questions of any 'closing the eyes' by invigilators arise. Then send the answer scripts to Singapore for marking and grading jointly by M'sian and S'porean teachers.

If the grades achieved by Malaysian students are on par with the grades of the S'porean students, then I for one could agree with the Minister's declaration.

Saying things is easy. Who advised the Minister who has personally not gone through the Malaysian school education mill that the standard of our education is on par with that of Singapore and Japan?

How to improve our education like this? Some years back when Muhyiddin Yassin was education minister, he said our educational standards were comparable to those of Germany, the UK and the USA!
