THE government is open to expanding the Rahmah initiative to the banking and insurance sectors, according to Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Salahuddin Ayub.

He said the government will reach out to banks in the near future to discuss the matter.

“For a way forward, I plan to meet with (industry players) and hold an engagement session.

“Who knows? There could be certain packages offered by banks and insurance companies,” he said in Kuching today. – Bernama, February 18, 2023.
