THE ringgit continued to weaken against the US dollar this morning as buying interest for the greenback increased.

The greenback had strengthened on the back of the improved US Producer Price Index and renewed speculations that the US Federal Reserve will tighten interest rates growth quicker than expected, analysts said. 

At 9am, the ringgit fell to 4.4245/4290 versus the greenback from yesterday’s closing of 4.4020/4060. – Bernama, February 17, 2023.
