255 new Covid cases, 4 deaths

ACTIVE Covid-19 cases in Malaysia dropped to 9,731 as the Health Ministry reported 255 new infections against 306 recoveries. 

Four coronavirus deaths were registered yesterday – two in Selangor and one each in Sabah and Perak – taking the national death toll to 36,950. 

Of the new infections, Selangor posted 85 cases, Kuala Lumpur (81), Malacca (16), Sarawak (13), Johor (11), Penang (11), Sabah (8), Putrajaya (7), Perak (7), Negri Sembilan (6), Kedah (5), Pahang (3) and Kelantan (2). 

Perlis, Terengganu and Labuan did not log any new cases. 

Of the active cases, 9,392 people were in home quarantine (96.5%) and 339 were in hospital (3.5%).

Twelve patients were admitted to intensive care with five requiring respiratory support. – February 11, 2023.
