DANGER-LEVEL continuous heavy rain is expected to hit Rompin in Pahang and Mersing and Kota Tinggi in Johor until tomorrow.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department, in warning notice issued at 1pm today, said continuous heavy rain of severe level is also expected in Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Baru, Bachok and Pasir Puteh in Kelantan as well as the whole Terengganu.

In Pahang, areas expected to experience severe-level continuous heavy rain are Kuantan and Pekan while in Johor, it involves Segamat, Kluang, Kulai and Johor Baru.

Meanwhile, continuous rain at alert level is expected to occur in Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang and Kuala Krai in Kelantan; Jerantut and Maran in Pahang; Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat and Pontian in Johor; and Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Kudat in Sabah. – Bernama, January 29, 2023.
