A FOREIGN boy was found in a container at a wharf at West Port, Port Klang, on Tuesday, according to police.

Klang Selatan police chief Cha Hoong Fong said the child, believed to be from Chittagong, Bangladesh, was found in a weak state by a worker at the wharf at about 9pm, who then informed the police.

The boy did not have any identification documents and was taken to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Klang, where he was reported to be in stable condition, Cha said in a statement today, adding that police were looking into the ship MV Integra, which had left Chittagong on January 12 and arrived at West Port on Tuesday.

He said according to the child, he was playing in the container with friends in Chittagong but found himself locked inside.

The police ruled out foul play and the case has been referred to the Immigration Department to process the boy and return him to Bangladesh. – Bernama, January 20, 2023.
