A 14-YEAR-OLD girl died after she was crushed by a falling tree in Taman Permainan Balok Baru 1, Kuantan, yesterday.

Kuantan police chief Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said police received information about the incident at 9pm.

Meanwhile, Pahang Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Ismail Abdul Ghani said seven firefighters from Gebeng Fire and Rescue Station were despatched following an emergency call at 6.35pm.

“When they arrived, they discovered that a female had been hit by a tree, they provided first aid before the victim was rushed to the hospital in a family car,” he said in a statement last night, adding that the tree also damaged four vehicles and electric cables. – Bernama, January 20, 2023.
