A TOTAL of 4,914 permanent positions will be offered by the Health Ministry this year, its minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa said today.
She said the bulk of the openings will be for medical officers.
“The issue of permanent positions is never-ending and always spoken about.
“So, I would like to announce that for 2023, the Health Ministry will increase its allocation for permanent positions,” she said.
Of the total openings that will be made available, 4,263 positions will be offered to medical officers, 335 for dental officers and 316 for pharmacists.
The advertisement for the permanent positions begins today and will continue till January 21, Zaliha said.
“With that, I hope eligible candidates would submit their applications with complete and accurate information as soon as possible,” she added.
Last year, then health minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that 4,053 contract healthcare workers would be offered permanent positions.
The announcement made it the highest number of permanent positions offered since the contract model was rolled out in 2016. – January 6, 2023.
