POLICE today arrested their prime suspect in the killing of a man found dead in front of his house in Taman Klebang Putra, Chemor, Ipoh, yesterday.
Perak police chief Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the suspect, 27, was arrested in Chemor on suspicion of murder.
“The police have apprehended the suspect believed to be involved in the murder of a 37-year-old man and are tracking his accomplices.
“The suspect will be taken to Ipoh Magistrate’s Court tomorrow for a remand application,” he said in a statement today.
The victim was found at 11.28pm yesterday and preliminary checks revealed there were injuries to his body, and police could not rule out accidental death.
However, an autopsy by the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital forensics department confirmed the cause of death to be multiple blunt force trauma and so the case was classified as a murder. – Bernama, December 31, 2022.
