MALAYSIA recorded 766 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total cases to 5,022,910 since the start of the pandemic, the Health Ministry said.

One virus-linked death was reported, in Johor. 

The death toll stood at 36,831.

Active cases stood at 14,124, down 24.6% from 14 days ago.

New cases were logged in Selangor (319), Kuala Lumpur (88), Sarawak (72)
Kedah (47), Malacca (42), Penang (41), Pahang (27), Negri Sembilan (24), Putrajaya (24), Perak (20), Sabah (17), Terengganu (14), Johor (11), Kelantan (10), Perlis (6) and Labuan (4)

A total of 806 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, 42 of them in intensive care.

Sabah reported the the highest number of hospital admissions at 56, followed by Selangor (52) and Kedah (39). – December 25, 2022.
