MALAYSIA logged 847 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, the Health Ministry said.

Six virus-linked fatalities were reported. Johor and Perak reported two each and Pahang and Perlis, one each. The death toll rose to 36,806.

Selangor posted the most new infections with 405, followed by Kuala Lumpur (66), Penang (47), Negri Sembilan (46), Kedah (42), Sarawak (40), Malacca (39), Perak (35), Sabah (30), Johor (23), Putrajaya (19), Kelantan (18), Pahang (17), Terengganu (15) and Perlis (5)

There were 963 infected people in hospitals, 49 of them in intensive care. – December 19, 2022.
