CONTINUOUS heavy rain is expected in Terengganu and some areas in Kelantan from today until Tuesday.

According to the weather forecast issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) at 6.30am, a “danger” warning level was issued for the whole of Terengganu and Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Baru, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh and Kuala Krai in Kelantan.

Meanwhile, continuous heavy rain at a “severe” level is expected today in Kedah involving Padang Terap, Sik and Baling; Perak (in Hulu Perak); Kelantan (Gua Musang); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin) until Tuesday.

MetMalaysia also issued a warning of continuous rain from today until Tuesday for Perlis and Penang, while in Kedah it involves Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Kulim and Bandar Baru. – Bernama, December 18, 2022.
