A cabinet of compromise, not ability

MALAYSIANS are still perplexed by the choice of ministers and deputies in the unity government. Based on its composition, it seems like a “compromise” government.

What was the basis for consideration? Winning a parliamentary seat does not guarantee a portfolio. It seems that loyalty in politics may take you further compared to being accountable and bestowed with the abilities to govern.

Only time will tell how this unity government steers the nation towards glory.

Youth have expressed their frustration at being told to participate in the democratic exercise as first-time voters, only to see the biggest losers getting rewarded.

We need a clear vision for this nation to achieve milestones.

What do we make of having an Umno president addressing a crowd of voters in Mandarin, and sharing power in Putrajaya with DAP?

Our only hope for the next five years is for the prime minister to have the political will to create a Malaysia for all.  – December 10, 2022.

  • History had already proven Malaysia regressed compared with our neighbors because we compromised on meritocracy.
