MALAYSIA recorded 1,682 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the cumulative infections in the country since the onset of the pandemic to 5.005 million cases. 

A total of six deaths were reported yesterday, with Kedah and Perak recording two each, while Johor and Selangor had one each.

The latest fatalities raise the toll to 36,738.

Selangor recorded 486 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (160), Sarawak (150), Malacca (140), Penang (123), Sabah (115), Kedah (87), Negri Sembilan (79), Pahang (74), Perak (71), Kelantan (66), Putrajaya (45), Johor (37), Terengganu (33), Labuan (11) and Perlis (5).

A total of 1,401 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, with 91 in intensive care. – December 8, 2022.
