THE coalitions in the unity government will soon sign an agreement to work together to ensure stability and confidence within the administration.
Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general Zambry Abd Kadir said discusssions were underway between between all the parties that form the unity government.
“The agreement will be signed after all parties have studied the terms of the deal.”
“The most important thing is creating a coalition agreement where all parties (in the government) can come together.”
“We have to take care of every partner in this coalition government,” he told the media after clocking in as foreign minister at Wisma Putra this afternoon.
The unity government led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is made up of Pakatan Harapan, BN, Gabungan Parti Sarawak and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.
It is also supported by lawmakers from Muda, Parti Warisan Sabah, Parti Bangsa Malaysia, Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat, and two independents.
The combined number of members of parliament from these parties give the unity government 145 seats in the 222 seat parliament. – December 5, 2022.
