MALAYSIA reported 1866 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the nationwide total to 4,998,830 million since the start of the pandemic in 2020. 

Six coronavirus-linked deaths were reported, one of which was dead on arrival.

Two of the deaths occured in Selangor and one each in  Perak, Perlis, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur.

The death toll stood at 36,710.

Selangor accounted for most of the new infections with 634, followed by Kuala Lumpur (186), Sarawak (176), Malacca (129), Sabah (126),  Penang (103), Perak (94), Kedah (80), Negeri Sembilan (74), Putrajaya (63), Pahang (61), Kelantan (48), Johor (33), Terengganu (23), Labuan (23), and Perlis (13)

Active cases stood at 23,099

There were 1,575 coronavirus patients in hospital, 102 of them are in intensive care. – December 4, 2022.
