2,375 new Covid cases, 11 deaths

MALAYSIA reported 2,375 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the nationwide total to 4,994,543 since the start of the pandemic. 

Eleven coronavirus-linked deaths were reported, with two classified as “dead on arrival”.

The latest deaths raise the toll to 36,695.

Selangor accounted for most of the new infections, at 596, followed by Kuala Lumpur (254), Kedah (238), Sarawak (176), Sabah (168), Malacca (160), Penang (133), Kelantan (131), Pahang (107), Perak (107), Negri Sembilan (93), Putrajaya (75), Terengganu (73), Johor (43), Labuan (16) and Perlis (5)

Active cases stand at 24,467.

There are currently 1,739 Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationwide.

Ninety-one are in intensive care, with 57 requiring respiratory assistance. – December 2, 2022.
