MALAYSIA reported 2,465 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the nationwide total to 4.989 million since the start of the pandemic. 

Five coronavirus-linked deaths were reported, with two classified as dead on arrival.

The latest deaths raise the toll to 36,657.

Selangor also accounted for most of the new infections with 1,306, followed by Kelantan (147), Kedah (138), Sabah (137), Kuala Lumpur (108), Malacca (92), Negri Sembilan (86), Penang (81), Sarawak (75), Perak (66), Terengganu (66), Putrajaya (59), Pahang (51), Johor (42), Perlis (8) and Labuan (3).

Active cases stand at 27,638.

There are currently 1,932 Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationwide.

Ninety-two are in intensive care, with 51 requiring respiratory assistance. – November 29, 2022.
