MALAYSIA reported 2,022 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the nationwide total to 4.986 million since the start of the pandemic. 

Four coronavirus-linked deaths were reported, one each in Perak, Sabah, Selangor, and Terengganu, raising the toll to 36,652.

Selangor also accounted for most of the new infections with 768, followed by Kuala Lumpur (159), Sabah (154), Kedah (148), Penang (134), Malacca (128), Sarawak (87), Kelantan (81), Perak (75), Pahang (65), Negri Sembilan (59), Terengganu (55), Putrajaya (54), Johor (37), Labuan (10) and Perlis (8).

Active cases currently stand at 27,207.

There were 101 patients in intensive care, 53 of whom required respiratory assistance. – November 28, 2022.
