MALAYSIA reported 2,898 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the total to 4.984 million since the start of the pandemic. 

Four coronavirus-linked deaths were reported, raising the toll to 36,648.

Selangor also accounted for most of the new infections at 1,230, followed by Sabah (210), Kuala Lumpur (206), Malacca (197), Sarawak (176), Perak (153), Penang (120), Kedah (109), Pahang (106), Negri Sembilan (102), Terengganu (77), Putrajaya (72), Kelantan (66), Johor (47), Labuan (18) and Perlis (9).

Active cases are now pegged at 27,008, with 24,924 on home quarantine.

There are 97 patients in intensive care, with 57 requiring respiratory assistance. – November 27, 2022.
