We are architects of our own destiny

YES, I like Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) win, but I view it as bittersweet. Having PH in government is good, but it will sideline the component parties because of compromises to be made for a so-called “inclusive government”.

DAP will not get much for all the hard work and consistency. Nevertheless, the last time DAP was in power they did run off the mark. They thought they deserved the win, but evolution, not revolution, is the order of business.

Hopefully this time around they play it smart and keep PH in check from the inside, and not shout from the top of the hill.

I was dead against Barisan Nasional/Umno being in any form of power but having seen the result, I hoped for a PH/BN coalition. I guess the outcome was more important. I guess dead men do grasp at straws.

Politicians on either side of the divide are self-serving. Selfless politicians are things for fairy tales. What’s more important is how much they take for themselves before they give back.

Anwar Ibrahim has had 24 years to contemplate and introspect. In his heyday, he was not the best with his religious and arrogant persona. I hope he has changed and wish him well.

However, better the devil you know than the devil you don’t because there are no more angels. The strength of might is not by bringing power to the strong but by bringing the weak to power.

This victory is not the end, but merely another milestone in the journey to the destiny of Malaysians.

No politician is acceptable, they are just palatable when you are hungry. I would like to remind one and all “listen to what politicians have to say but remember you are the architect of your fate and ultimate destiny”.

The decisions we make today may be ours but the impact of the same has serious implications for the generations we have procreated. I may open my doors for inclusiveness but I SHALL FOREVER KEEP MY BACK DOOR SHUT AND KEEP AN EYE ON IT!

I’m also wary of hotels, for it is the den of thieves. – November 26, 2022.
