MALAYSIA recorded 3,024 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic to 4.98 million.

Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday at 1,069, followed by Malacca (268) and Sabah (266).

Kuala Lumpur logged 223 new cases, Penang (178), Sarawak (145), Putrajaya (140), Perak (132), Kedah (126), Kelantan (114), Negri Sembilan (106), Pahang (102), Terengganu (72), Johor (49), Labuan (27) and Perlis (7).

The Health Ministry also reported eight Covid-19 deaths yesterday with two dead-on-arrival cases, bringing the total to 36,644.

The number of Covid-19 patients in the intensive care unit stood at 92, with 52 requiring respiratory support. – November 26, 2022.
