SIX Perlis assemblymen today took their oaths as members of the state executive council before Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail at Istana Arau in Arau.
They are four assemblymen from PAS and two from Bersatu, who have been approved by Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.
Also present was Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.
The six then signed the letter of appointment, witnessed by the chief judge of Kangar High Court, Arik Sanusi Yeop Johari, and state shariah chief judge Jaidi Ahmad.
On Tuesday, Sanglang assemblyman Mohd Shukri Ramli took the oath of office as the new Perlis menteri besar before Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.
Perikatan Nasional succeeded in forming the state government after winning 14 out of 15 state seats in the November 19 general election. It also won all three parliamentary seats in the state, namely Padang Besar, Arau and Kangar.
