Anwar clocks in on first day as PM

ANWAR Ibrahim clocked in at his office in Putrajaya this morning, a day after being appointed the nation’s 10th prime minister.

He arrived at the main block of Perdana Putra that houses the Prime Minister’s Office at 9.53am.

Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali welcomed him.

Also present were the director-general of public service, army chief, inspector-general of police and attorney-general.

Wearing a pink baju Melayu, he is also set to attend Friday prayers at the Putra Mosque in Putrajaya.

Anwar, 75, was sworn in as prime minister before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah yesterday. – November 25, 2022.
