ANWAR Ibrahim took his oath of office as the 10th prime minister before the Yang di Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong in Istana Negara at 5pm.

The Pakatan Harapan chairman also signed an oath of secrecy.

The ceremony was witnessed by his wife Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and several other PH leaders, including Rafizi Ramli, Anthony Loke, Mohamad Sabu and R Sivarasah.

Also present were Barisan Nasional leaders Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Mohamad Hassan.

Dewan Rakyat president Azhar Harun and Senate president Rais Yatim were also present.

The ceremony was shown live on television.

Earlier, Anwar and Wan Azizah arrived at Istana Negara at 4.32pm in a black BMW car.

They waved at the media gathered at the main gate of Istana Negara.

Before that, at about 4.10pm, the Chief Secretary to the Government, Mohd. Zuki Ali arrived at Istana Negara. – November 24, 2022.
