PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) should join forces to form the next government, said Mohamad Hasan.
The Umno deputy president said BN should accept the decision of the people who rejected the coalition and be a responsible opposition.
“I suggest that PN and PH form the government because they have the higher number of votes.”
“BN is ready to be the opposition. Responsible for a ’check and balance’ of the new government,” he said on Facebook today.
Earlier today Anwar said that PH was working to form a unity government with BN for the country’s stability.
He also said he was still the prime minister candidate for the coalition.
“We had a discussion with BN. The most important issue is to create a stable government.”
“I’m very optimistic that we will be able to form a government that’s more transparent and democratic to safeguard the interests of the rakyat,” he said at the Seri Pacific hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Mohamad who is also known as Tok Mat, however, said that if BN help is needed during the post-GE transition period they are still open to discussions.
“If they still can’t set up the government, please don’t blame us.”
“This is the result of a democratic process, to return the mandate to the people. We respect that decision.” – November 21, 2022.
