PAKATAN Harapan’s Ramanan Ramakrishnan who defeated Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Khairy Jamaluddin in Sungai Buloh said he has big shoes to fill in continuing the good work of previous lawmaker, Sivarasa Rasiah. 

“I have a big responsibility to the voters of Sg Buloh. I have a big responsibility to the party, and big shoes to fill because of Sivarasa’s legacy,” he briefly told reporters after arriving at the Grand Dorsett Hotel in Subang Jaya. 

Ramanan, who defeated caretaker Health Minister Khairy with a majority of 2,693 votes, will replace Sivarasa as the new Sungai Buloh lawmaker. 

Sivarasa, a three-term Sungai Buloh MP, was dropped as a candidate for the general election because of health reasons. 

When asked about his victory, Ramanan thanked his election machinery, friends, supporters and the voters of Sungai Buloh for the victory. – November 19, 2022.
